Diagnosis and Treatment of Neurological Disorders

As a parent, learning your child has a neurological disorder can be alarming. Remember that there is a lot of misinformation about these conditions, and the situation may not be exactly what you think it is. With proper treatment, many people with neurological disorders are able to enjoy successful, fulfilling lives.

We explore all possible treatment options, beginning with conservative, non-invasive methods before considering neurosurgical procedures. Our pediatric neurologists serve as consultants to the primary care doctor. Our team can provide your child with the long-term care they need to manage their condition.

Some neurological disorders that can affect children include:

  • Seizures
  • Complex epilepsy
  • Muscular dystrophy and muscle disease
  • Autoimmune disorders of the brain and peripheral nervous system
  • Ataxia
  • Concussion
  • Sleep disorders
  • Spasticity and cerebral palsy
  • Craniosynostosis
  • Neurofibromatosis
  • Tuberous sclerosis
  • Headaches
  • Moyamoya disease
  • Stroke
